Yes, you can cancel a flight with Turkish Airlines. You can do it online or using the airline’s mobile app, or you can contact customer services.
To do it online, follow these steps:¹

Bear in mind that there may be cancellation fees to pay, depending on your ticket type. You can check the fare rules and conditions here, which also tells you close to the departure time you can cancel a flight.
If you need to make changes to the date or route of your flights, you should be able to do it online or via the Turkish Airlines mobile app.
Just make sure to check the fare rules for your ticket type for details of how close to departure time changes can be made - and whether you’ll be charged any fees.
Need to cancel the flight altogether? You can do it free of charge as long as your ticket hasn’t yet been issued. Otherwise, cancellation fees may apply. So, act fast if you’ve booked the flight in error and need to cancel.⁴
For all other changes, you may need to contact the airline’s customer services team if you’re not able to edit your booking online.
Turkish Airlines does offer refunds for cancellations in some circumstances, but it will all depend on your ticket type. In many cases, you can get a refund, but minus a cancellation fee. Ticket service fees aren’t usually refunded.⁵
So, you’ll need to check your booking confirmation details or the fare rules, or get in touch with the airline.
You should also be able to see whether or not you’re due a refund when you login to the Turkish Airlines website and start cancelling your booking.
So, what happens if Turkish Airlines cancels a flight, rather than you making the decision to cancel?
If the airline cancels your flight, the Turkish Airlines flight cancellation policy states it will offer a free of charge reservation or route change, or a full refund of your ticket fare.⁶
You may also be compensated for drinks, meals, accommodation and/or transport depending on how close to the departure time the cancellation happens.⁶
