When you connect your Wise business account with an accounting integration, such as Xero or QuickBooks, transactions will be synced from the day of connection onwards. All the Wise currency balances you chose to connect with the accounting software will sync in this way.
For example, if you connected your Wise account on the 1st of January, all transactions that appear on your balance activity starting from the 1st January will be synced.
Can I sync older transactions?
If you want to sync transactions that are older than a year, you can manually upload your older Wise statements:
Download a statement in PDF or CSV format for every currency you've activated or hold a Wise balance in.
Follow the instructions provided by your connected accounting software — like Xero or QuickBooks — to import the statements.
Each platform has its own way of importing files, so make sure to follow their specific instructions.
For Xero users there's an additional option to sync previous transactions. You can go to ‘Sync options and status’ from your Connection settings. On this page, you’ll see the option to choose an earlier start date — up to one year.
