Altiris, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATRS), a pioneer of IT lifecycle management solutions that reduce the total cost of owning IT resources, today announced the launch of the new Altiris® Business Partner Program to further incent and reward select business partners and to better match specific customer requirements to partner expertise. With this new program Altiris Business Partners benefit from more generous licensing discounts, additional sales and marketing support and joint-sales opportunities with Altiris strategic OEM alliances.

The new Altiris Business Partner program now includes:

    • Tiered Platinum, Gold and registered resellers levels to ensure program quality and focus while rewarding partners for meeting revenue commitments and expertise.
    • Coordinated interaction between Altiris OEM partners and business partners to create an even more efficient sales model by leveraging the strengths of each.
    • Targeted lead distribution to match partner expertise with customer requirements.

“Pomeroy IT Solutions is committed to providing our clients with world-class technology solutions,” said Ron Herd, Pomeroy, Director of Software Alliances. “We have seen exceptional momentum in the market for Altiris IT lifecycle management solutions which fit nicely into our strategy of offering only proven technologies that enable reduced TCO. The Altiris business partner program combined with Altiris software helps Pomeroy provide the services and solutions to our clients to enable them to better manage their environments while simultaneously saving them money.”

Tyler Smith, Altiris VP of business development, said, “The systems management market is quickly approaching $20 billion. We, with our partners, are well-positioned to capitalize on this growth by providing a depth and breadth of functionality that is both easy to use and modular, providing targeted software solutions for the customer’s most pressing needs.

“A highly leveraged sales model has helped drive Altiris growth while keeping our cost of sales low. After years of success with this model, we have decided to further reward our valued partners and now aim to attract other partners with a new partner program.”

Altiris channel programs are targeted at value-added resellers, systems integrators and managed service providers. Unlike framework products or companies with one or two products, Altiris delivers targeted solutions that reduce resources required for successful systems management implementations, helping partners realize more profit per sale while helping to drive down service delivery costs. In addition, Altiris solutions complement and add value to HP and Microsoft management software for increased sales opportunities.
